Like many water utilities, we measure your usage and bill you in hundreds of cubic feet (HCF). To convert your usage from HCF to gallons, multiply it by 748. |

Condition of Contract |
|
For the 658 Standard Fire Hydrants owned by the District and connected to its system on September 1, 2002, there shall be paid quarterly to the District by the Municipalities served, an annual fire protection charge as follows: |

Rates for Metered Service |
|
Bills will be rendered either quarterly or monthly, at the option of the District. Customers will be billed for water consumed during the proceeding applicable period in addition to a Service Availability Charge based upon meter size. All bills are due and payable upon presentation. |
Service Charges |

1. Temporary Disconnection and Reconnection of Service |
|
All bills shall be due and payable upon presentation. A late payment charge will be made on any unpaid balance after 30 days from the date of the bill. Payments may be made at the office of the utility or at any designated collection station. Failure of the customer to receive a bill does not relieve them of the obligation of its payment nor for the consequences of nonpayment. |

During regular business hours, a charge of $25.00 will be made to disconnect water service for the customer’s convenience. A charge of $25.00 will be made to reconnect service to that customer during regular business hours. After regular business hours a charge of $50.00 will be made to disconnect water service and a charge of $50.00 will be made to reconnect service. |

2. Reconnection of Service for Nonpayment |
|
During regular business hours, a charge of $25.00 will be made to a customer’s account to reconnect water service that was disconnected for nonpayment. After regular business hours, a charge of $50.00 will be made to reconnect water service that was disconnected for nonpayment. |

3. Utility Jobbing |
|
Whenever the utility undertakes to do work for a customer at their expense, applications for such work shall be made in writing on forms provided by the utility. A deposit will be required equal to the utility’s estimated cost of the work and for which deposit the customer will be given a receipt. At the completion of the work, an invoice will be rendered. Any excess deposit will be returned, and any amount due the utility in excess of deposits will be due and payable. |

4. Cost of New Meters and Installation (New Services Only) |

Upon application by the customer on forms provided by the utility for a new service and meter, the following flat rate advance contribution for meters will apply: |

All meters above one (1) inch will be billed at actual cost of the meter plus installation. Advance contribution will be determined on the meter cost at time of application. |

5. Charge for Returned Checks |
|
A charge will be made to the account of any customer whose check is returned by the bank due to insufficient funds. The charge will be the actual bank charge, not to exceed $15.00. |

6. Account Setups: New and Transfers |
|
A fee of $10.00 will be charged to all new accounts, as well as transfer of accounts, in order to recover the cost of associated recordkeeping. |

7. Field Service Charge |
|
A charge of $50.00 will be made to the customer’s account for service calls requested after regular business hours. Should the problem be that of the District, no charges will be made to the customer’s account for such calls. There will be no charge for service calls made during regular business hours. |

8. Cross Connection Backflow Valve Test |
|
A charge of $30.00 will be made to a customer’s account for all cross connection tests performed by the utility. |
