The District is pleased to announce that our customers can now make credit/debit card payments on our website 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The same service that we use over the counter is now available, as an easy to use online payment application. Water bills can be paid with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or American Express card.
A quick click on our website will bring you to Maine PayPort Online, a third party service working in partnership with the State of Maine and the District. By using a third party service, your credit card information is processed at a secure site.
As with our over the counter service, customers will be assessed a 2.5% service fee for each transaction. However, all transactions that are $40.00 or less will only be charged $1.00.
All you need to pay your bill is your account number and a valid credit card. Your account number is located on the top of your water bill. If you don't know your account number, just call our office and we can provide it to you. If you are paying a disconnection notice, please notify our office afterwards to avoid further service charges. Payments will be applied the following business day.

Over the Counter Credit Card Usage
Credit cards can be used in the office and over the phone during regular business hours.
Each transaction is processed through a secure third-party service. The fee for this service will be applied to each transaction at a rate of 2.5%, but with a minimum amount of $1.00. All transactions that are less than $40.00 will be charged the minimum amount of $1.00 (example below). This fee goes to the third-party service, not the District.
